Opening the Door to Jesus

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Often, as a family, we leave Jesus outside of our lives, just as happened with the church of Laodicea in Revelation 3. However, today Jesus is still knocking at the door of our hearts, inviting us to open to Him. This is a personal invitation for each one of us, a call to make space for Him in our lives.

Opening the door to Jesus is not just about adding another activity to our day; it is a change in lifestyle. By welcoming Him, we allow His transforming presence to change us. His love is manifested in us.

When we make space for Him, the blessings of His presence impact every aspect of our family life: the way we love, serve, live, and grow together. Jesus does not want to be an occasional visitor; He desires to dwell in every corner of our home and transform our daily lives.

It is crucial that today we begin to open the door to Him. By doing so, His presence will change our lives, from our homes to our relationships and work. No one who opens the door to Jesus will remain the same.

“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭24‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

As we meditate on this great truth, we are reminded that the King of glory wants to enter our home, our marriage, our lives, and all that we are. He is the strong and mighty, the powerful in battle, who brings peace, strength, and victory. Jesus is not just a visitor; He wants to dwell in every part of our lives, filling our home with His presence.

Today is the crucial moment to respond to His call. By opening the door to Jesus, we are inviting His transforming presence into our home. We give space to the King of glory to guide and strengthen every area of our family life. May today, with all freedom and conviction, we declare: “Jesus, welcome into our home. Enter, king of glory, and transform our family in ways we never imagined. We long for more of You."
