A New Beginning.

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." - Genesis 1:1

As we enter the new year, it is the perfect time to reflect on the importance of “beginnings”. Genesis 1:1 reminds us that God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, the One who brought light to the darkness and order to chaos. This fundamental truth invites us to center our lives on Him, creating habits that reflect His presence in every moment.

A new year offers us a new beginning, an opportunity to adopt new habits that bring us closer to God. Although the year is new, we can be assured that our God remains the same: faithful, loving, and always present. The new year gives us the chance to affirm His unchanging nature, trust in His guidance, and recognize His presence both in our blessings and in our challenges.

When we are aware of His presence, we can see God in the details of our daily lives. God is present, whether in the beauty of creation, in the kindness of others, or in the strength He provides us in difficult moments.

I recently heard the story of a family that decided to begin each day with a simple prayer before breakfast. At first, it was a bit challenging, and the routine seemed difficult. But as the days passed, this small habit transformed their mornings. They realized their days were different; they experienced peace, even on the busiest days, and it helped them stay anchored in God's love and guidance. It became their favorite part of the day, a small but meaningful way of inviting God into their lives.

This year, consider dedicating the first moments of each day to God. Start with a simple prayer, recognize His hand in the world around you, and invite Him to participate in your plans. Whether as individuals or as families, find a rhythm that works for you to seek God first.

Reflect on how God has guided you in the past, and trust that He will continue to be faithful and guide you through this new year. Make God the foundation of your decisions, relationships, and aspirations. Remember, just like Genesis 1:1, everything begins with God. Let this year be a year of starting with God, a year of deep faith and renewed commitment to walk with Him.

A new year begins, but the same God remains, always faithful, always good, always near.

"Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually." - 1 Chronicles 16:11

Let us seek His strength and His guidance, trusting that His presence will sustain us. May this year be marked by a deep and continuous search for God, knowing that He is always near and always faithful.
